Used wrong word for technologists
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A recent article about the latest technology at Yuma Regional Medical Center's diagnostic imaging department left me a little concerned that the technologists were referred to as technicians. Technicians we are not!
We are highly-trained , well-qualified and nationally registered medical imaging technologists.
The people of Yuma should know and understand that these medical professionals have put years of hard-learning, testing and tough clinical hours, much like doctors and nurses, that their specialized profession brings confidence and expertise to the field of medicine.
I want to also congratulate the recent classes of Arizona Western College's radiologic technology program. Great job, guys and gals, and salute the rest of us for doing a job that, in my opinion, does not receive the credit it deserves.
