Girl, 2, struck by car in San Luis

A 2-year-old girl was injured in San Luis, Ariz., Thursday when she was struck by a vehicle, according to the San Luis Fire Department.

The girl's parents told firefighters the child suffered head, chest and neck injuries when she was struck by a sport utility-type vehicle in the 1400 block of California Street before noon, the fire department said.

The unidentified girl was treated by firefighters and transported by a Care Flight helicopter to the hospital, the fire department said.

No other details were available.
